It has been a long week, and you would rather stay home and relax than bring your family to Christian church. If you are debating between staying home or spending your Sunday at church this week, here are just a few reasons why you should become a consistent attendant:
- God deserves your time. If you are struggling, God can help you heal. Going to a Christian church gives you a safe place to learn of His message of salvation. Remember, the time you spend at church every Sunday is never wasted.
- You start your week off right. Attending a Christian church every Sunday prepares you for the struggles of the week ahead and fills your heat with knowledge and praise for God.
- Praising God should be a priority. In Psalm 95:2 it says, “Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.” This verse, along with the many others like it, emphasizes the importance of participating in worship.
- It sets an example for your children. You want your children to become faithful, Christ-centered adults, and one of the best ways to help them make church attendance a regular habit is by going with them. Set a good example and show them that going to church every Sunday is a righteous pattern.
God desires for you to serve others. Everyone was given skills and abilities that are unique to them. The church needs your skills, so do not fail to use your talents and serve Him by choosing to go to church instead of staying home.
